Who are your local councillors – Where are they?

Labour Campaigner Jonathan Spencer has fought for years to get an answer to the question:
“When will our Local Councillors get the everyday services right?”
The bins are overflowing, the pavements cracked or badly covered with tarmac, the roads with holes in them.

The town overdeveloped, with a lack of affordable housing.

Over 14 years ago Jonathan wrote about park and ride as a solution to traffic congestion in Lewes. Labour campaigners hear many people with ideas that could be beneficial for the town but no one else seems to be listening.

Many of us never see a local representative, the only demonstration we have that they exist are services they provide and these don’t meet everyday requirements. Your local councillors…who are they, where are they, why aren’t they up to the job? Why are they standing in the shadows, or now Labour asks the question will you suddenly get a leaflet through the door listing every one.

Isn’t it time we stopped these councillors from delivering the mediocre madness we have known for so long

Change Lewes at the ballot box,

Labour… for a fairer Lewes

Perhaps they will offer some transparency on these matters? Matt has his own web site that [...]

There is no place like home

You may have heard the news that under this Tory-led Government, there has been a 17% increase in the number of families losing their homes. These aren’t just dry statistics – they are real families facing homelessness.  The Government must change course, stop cutting too far and too fast and come up with a Plan B for the economy – before more people lose their homes. Help us send that message by signing the petition
