Pause for breath

Labour campaigner Sam Hasan is asking you to pause for breath, and think about the air we breathe.
Rush hour traffic is increasing, our parking system does not seem to be focussed on a good flow of traffic but on easy targets and easy money. As traffic gridlocks through the centre of Lewes, you can taste the difference in air quality.
Recently Sam noticed traffic wardens checking cars in parking areas on the high street, whilst on the double yellows on the opposite side of the road, 3 vans parked over the curb and were blocking the through traffic, but the wardens did nothing.
Sam wants our everyday services to reflect the needs of hard working local people, local business and in the quality of our environment.

You may have heard the news that under this Tory-led Government, there has been a 17% increase in the number of families losing their homes. These aren’t just dry statistics – they are real families facing homelessness.  The Government must change course, stop cutting too far and too fast and come up with a Plan B for the economy – before more people lose their homes. Help us send that message by signing the petition
