Norman Baker what is he doing?
Many of you have received the letter from Norman Baker on SOS NHS, where he is trying to save the NHS single handed.
Local Labour Campaigner Jonathan Spencer is aware of discussions and local consultations occurring around Maternity Services, partly because he and his partner have just had a baby, but he asked his Partner who works in the NHS if the NHS needed saving or even an SOS and she says NO.
The Questions that need asking are up to you, but some of the ones that came up for us are after all the extra money thats been put into the NHS under the labour Government, is the NHS providing a service people want and can this be sustained or even improved, and how. But we would be interested to hear your comments.
Norman Baker somehow always manages to miss the boat he concentrates on national issues wanting to sound like a statesman, but the real local issues dont really get promoted or solved.
As an example lets take an ex-Lewes resident John Mann, he’s now an MP for Bassetlaw, a constituency thats in the North. John Mann recently came up with strategies to deal with drug use and also and excellent booklet about Anti-social behaviour called The Bassetlaw anti-social behaviour Handbook (your guide to the law). The idea of the booklet is to active. lt help his constituents, know the law and deal with some of the anti-social behaviour , that we all know is going on, not just in his constituency but across ours as well.
Why haven’t we got an MP like that, one that does something useful, something that helps ordinary people, I’ll tell you why because John Mann is a Labour MP, and thats the kind of service and constituency MP you get when you vote Labour.
We don’t need pie in the sky gestures to save the NHS, we need an MP who knows how to offer practical help to his constituency. But Noramn Baker and the liberal democrats have consistently voted against measure Labour have brought in to contain and stop thuggery and anti-social behaviour
