There is much talk of a snap election and the Lib-dems and The Tories will tell you only they can win, but what is the choice we have on offer from these two parties.

Norman Baker the sitting MP
who after 10 years in office when he was elected because Lewes was tired of the Tories; he still has a website with his “views” but nowhere to be found are his “acheivements”. There are great lists of discussions and promises, condemnations and questions and in amongst this that he saved the 128 bus to Malling. We recognise the importance of local transport which is why Lewes Labour are campaigning on this issue. But surely our MP has managed something else. Please tell us what he’s done for Lewes?

Jason Sugarman – The Conservative prospective candidate
A Barrister who lives only part of the time in Sussex. He says: “he sees the role of being an MP as being a problem solver for local people” Is this really what you want another under achiever?

If you want to vote for the Usual Suspects the above fit the bill

But when the time comes we hope you’ll remember there is an alternative…..with Labour

Perhaps they will offer some transparency on these matters? Matt has his own web site that [...]

There is no place like home

You may have heard the news that under this Tory-led Government, there has been a 17% increase in the number of families losing their homes. These aren’t just dry statistics – they are real families facing homelessness.  The Government must change course, stop cutting too far and too fast and come up with a Plan B for the economy – before more people lose their homes.
