Did you know that the Lewes District Council has 434 ‘second homes’
that is homes that also attract 10% discount on their council tax as their owners pay council tax on another property. We accept that in any area there will be a number of holiday lets, but is this too many and how many are valid additions to the tourist economy or merely weekend retreats that push the price of housing up? What are your views on local housing issues, contact local labour campaigner Sam Hasan by clicking on the contact link at the top of the page.

There is no place like home

You may have heard the news that under this Tory-led Government, there has been a 17% increase in the number of families losing their homes.
