Are you aware that half of 16 year olds in east sussex don’t get 5 GCSEs and 1 in 20 leave with no qualification at all. We are asking why the County Council is not working harder to raise expectations and aspirations in every child and parent. We are aware that many children and parents face difficult situations and need help and the support this entails needs to be more readily available.

Labour nationally has put millions of pounds into local schools the redevelopment of Wallands being an example. But if this is integrated with a backward policy from the County we are swimming against the tide. Do you have experience of difficulties in local education whether as a teacher, parent or pupil, we would like to know contact our local campaigners Sam Hasan and Jonathan Spencer
